Driver POD workflow
Collection and delivery confirmation without status-chasing
GLS puts three clear actions into the driver's email. COLLECTED and DELIVERED update the job automatically; TAKE POD lets the driver photograph and attach the proof-of-delivery document.
Status and POD evidence stay connected to the associated GLS job.
How the POD workflow operates
A direct path from driver action to the job record
- 01
Issue the collection note
GLS sends the driver the job documents and instructions.
- 02
Confirm collection
The driver selects COLLECTED and the job status updates automatically.
- 03
Confirm delivery
The driver selects DELIVERED and the delivery event is recorded against the job.
- 04
Photograph the POD
TAKE POD opens the driver workflow to photograph and attach the proof-of-delivery document.
- 05
Move work forward
Operations sees the updated record and POD evidence, then progresses completed work towards billing.
One operational record
Keep POD status connected to the transport movement
Collection and delivery confirmation stay with the same tenant-scoped job used by operations and finance. Teams can see progress without relying on calls, message threads or a separate status spreadsheet.

Clear scope
POD confirmation is included in GLS Transporter
The email workflow covers collection and delivery status confirmation plus photographing and attaching the POD. Because the application may change between releases, GLS revalidates the current driver email, link security, camera/photo upload and job attachment before a tenant uses the workflow live. Any customer-specific signature, document-format or exception-evidence requirement is also agreed during onboarding.
